D: In my life I’ve learned some tough lessons … the hard way. Living with unrequited love is one of them.

C: Somebody didn’t love you?

D: That’s not the issue, the issue is you. Somebody doesn’t love you.

C: So what do I do?

D: You get through it. You focus on what’s real and let go of what’s not.

C: That’s gonna hurt.

D: That’s the beauty of the whole horrible mess. No pain, no gain. As the heart goes, those are the rules you live by.
